Flap surgery

It is a type of gum procedure in which the gums are separated from the teeth and folded backwards in order to allow the dentist to reach the root of the tooth and bone. It is performed under local anesthesia.

It is slight painful and discomfort for 3 to 4 days after the procedure and patient is compliant due to medication coverage given.Patient is been called for suture removal after 7 days. Maintanence of oral hygiene is of utmost important for the success of the treatment.

Gingivectomy

Gingivectomy is a dental procedure in which a dental procedure in which a dentist cuts away part of the gums in the mouth. It is the procedure done to improve retention of crowns and aesthetics of the teeth.

Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening reduces gum tissue and shaves down bone when necessary so more of the tooth is above the gums surface.
A properly fitted cown allow for better oral hygiene and comfort.
Some people seek crown lengthening to alter a gummy smile in which gums are visible above the teeth when smiling.
